April Larken is a Greenwich-based DJ, by way of NYC and London. With a natural flair for mixing music and an early career in fashion design, April stands firmly at the intersection of music and fashion as she is equally influenced by both. Her signature sound spans eras and blends genres. She’ll seamlessly segue from current pop hits into classic hip hop, alt-rock, and 90’s throwbacks.

Whether she's DJing a high-profile launch, leading a crowd into the wee hours at a glamorous gala or playing an exclusive private party, April has established a loyal following. Her private client list includes Valentino, Porsche, Condé Nast, Dylan Lauren, Carolina Herrera, Candace Bushnell, Donna Karan, Stuart Weitzman, Michael Kors and Lin-Manuel Miranda to name a few.

 

April has opened for Kesha, Flo Rida, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Jimmy Fallon, Gavin DeGraw, The Bacon Brothers, Vanessa Williams, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Michael Bolton, 98 Degrees and Gloria Gaynor. She's been both Allure Magazine's Best of Beauty Awards show DJ and the Greenwich International Film Festival musical director since 2016. April has performed in NYC at The Plaza Hotel, The Rainbow Room, Soho House, Ziegfeld Ballroom, MO Lounge Rooftop, Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers, The Capitol Theatre and Montauk Surf Lodge. She's played private events in London UK at Shoreditch House, Sam's Riverside, The Electric House and Skibo Castle in Scotland. April was selected by Governor and First Lady Lamont to DJ for the 2023 Inauguration Gala, and performed at a gala honoring John Legend.

Before DJing, April made a name for herself in the bridal fashion world, in NYC for couture house Vera Wang and in London as a private client wedding dress designer. Years later those fashion connections remain strong, as she seasonably curates music for NY Bridal Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week.

To April, her success is about so much more than being the Girl DJ at a trendy party—this is a lifetime of music obsession come to fruition.
